Protective Childhood Experiences Workshop - Oct 13 2020

Protective Childhood Experiences

OCT 13 2020

“The more healthy relationship a child has, the more likely he will be able to recover from trauma and thrive.” (Bruce D Perry, MD Ph.D.). Everyone has times of struggle and times of resilience as they are growing up. It is the balance between struggles and resilience that determines how we face day-to-day challenges. This presentation will review Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) that can lead to greater risk for social and emotional difficulties and struggles and introduce Protective and Compensatory Childhood Experiences (PACEs) that can lead to greater resilience and emotion regulation and reduce the unpleasant or unwelcome effects of difficult times.

The presentation will include a one-hour presentation followed by a half-hour discussion to address questions and concerns.

To register, please visit: Eventbrite or The Workforce Registry
