Community Care Licensing

Two Child Care Advocates from Community Care Licensing, Tawny Grossman, and Natalie Dunaway,  joined us via Zoom yesterday evening. They presented Child Care Providers with essential information and guidance needed to safely care for children during this questionable period of time and stressed the importance of keeping up to date with their Provider Information Notices, (PINs).

Links and very useful resources are all throughout This PowerPoint Presentation they provided. Everything that is underlined within the presentation is a link to a resource for providers.

Provider and Parent Webinar

UPDATE TO THIS VIDEO:  The section that discusses the collection of Family Fees is no longer valid.  The day after this webinar was held, we received notice from our funders that family fees are being waived for the months of July & August.  As such, provider reimbursements will NOT be reduced to reflect the collection of family fees for July & August 2020.  Therefore, any family fees paid by the parent for July or August 2020 services must be refunded to the parent.  Individual notices to family fee-paying parents will be mailed to them and their providers.  For more information, please call your Family Services Specialist or Provider Services Specialist.

Getting Cleaning Supplies For Childcare Providers

The Governor and Legislature have authorized funding to providers for cleaning supplies, gloves, masks, and other personal supplies necessary to protect against and reduce the spread of the Novel Coronavirus. Funds may also be used for labor costs associated with additional time for cleaning services.

Our Resource and Referral (R&R) program will allocate the funds to open or soon-to-be-open providers operating childcare or early learning and care (ELC) programs for children of essential workers, at-risk populations, and children with disabilities or special health care needs where the child’s individualized education plan (IEP) or individualized family service plan (IFSP) includes ELC services.

The CSCP funds must be used to ensure healthy and safe childcare and ELC settings for children.

More information here.

Family Fee Waivers Announcement

Family Fee Waivers

Note: This is in reference to Family Fees only and has nothing to do with parent co-pays.

Family fees for the months of July and August 2020 have been waived and are not to be collected. We apologize for all of the back and forth on the issue of family fees, but please understand this is not within our control. We just received notice from our funders that the legislature approved two more months of family feel waivers.

Parents Who Pay Family Fees: For the months of July and August 2020, please DO NOT pay the provider your monthly family fees. Your fees will resume, as assessed/scheduled, on September 1, 2020, unless otherwise notified. If you already paid your provider family fees for July or
August, your provider will refund your money.

Providers: For the months of July and August 2020, please DO NOT collect family fees from your Subsidized Child Care Families. SFCS WILL NOT deduct any family fees from your reimbursements for these months. If you already collected the family fees for July or August, please refund that payment to the parent.
